How It All Started
In 2017, Maya Chen was working as an event coordinator when she noticed the same thing at every wedding and gala: guests would crowd around the photo booth and leave with the biggest smiles of the night. The booth was always the hit — but the experience was often clunky, the prints were mediocre, and the setup looked like an afterthought.
So she built something better. Flash & Frame launched with a single open-air booth, a custom-built print station, and an obsessive attention to detail. Word spread fast. Within a year, the team had grown, the booth lineup had expanded, and Flash & Frame had become Chicago's go-to photo booth company for events that actually care about the details.
Today we've served over 500 events across Chicagoland — from intimate backyard parties to 1,000-person corporate galas. The mission hasn't changed: make every guest feel like the star of the show.
